Each of Gale's pieces comes with a description card that speaks of the work and in some cases, suggests how the pieces might be used in ceremony.

Gale calls her works of art, "Earth Prayers" because each is a prayer for the healing of the earth and for the healing of the human spirit. Each of her works is accompanied with a tag carrying Gale's prayer:

Created with a preservationist's heart, Gale's art uses materials, often salvaged and saved from nature. She creates her elaborate prayer bowls, masks, headdresses, fans, rattles & medicine pouches in the traditions of the ancients who believed all life on earth was sacred. In that belief that her art is inspired by spirits beyond earthly realms, Gale does not sign her work.

She and her partner, Rainer, often collaborate in making their creations, (He may open, empty, drill and even bead gourd prayer bowls with her. She may serve as his assistant when he is building a custom display cabinet or furniture).

An earlier reviewer of her work wrote of it as, "strange and yet friendly to contemporary eyes, Gale's Earth Prayers form startlingly beautiful reflections of the natural world in a way that also focuses on human connections to a threatened planet".

Gale's creations are tools that can be used in healing ceremony and ritual. Each is a work of art meant to bring healing for the viewer's spirit. Shamanic and medicine wheel practitioners have long collected her art.
